The project concerns the expansion of the Tecnopolo di Reggio Emilia, the city’s research and
innovation hub located within the former Reggiane industrial district.
Set in Capannone 15B, the intervention introduces new laboratories and research spaces
dedicated to digital innovation, sensing technologies and advanced experimentation. It
strengthens the role of the Technopole as a strategic infrastructure for knowledge, enterprise and
applied research.
The architectural approach works within the existing industrial context, combining functional
efficiency, technological clarity and respect for the character of the former production buildings.
The project is conceived as part of a wider innovation ecosystem, where laboratories, workspaces
and shared facilities contribute to the ongoing transformation of the Ex Reggiane area into a
contemporary district for research, education and advanced production.
