Paolo Iotti (Reggio Emilia, 1973) and Marco Pavarani (Parma, 1973) studied at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara. In 1995 they both won a scholarship to take part in the ILAUD international residential workshop co-ordinated by Architect Prof. Giancarlo De Carlo.  In 2000 they graduated with the highest possible grades. After a trainee in the office of Guido Canali in Parma, Paolo Iotti worked with the Design and Research team of the Ferrara Faculty of Architecture; Marco Pavarani worked with the office of Guido Canali in Parma  as project manager on Smeg headquarters complex in Guastalla.

 

In 2001 IOTTI+PAVARANI ARCHITETTI office was founded.

 

Since 2006 Paolo Iotti and Marco Pavarani have been teaching at the Ferrara Faculty of Architecture;  Marco Pavarani was in charge of Architectural Design I, from 2010 to 2013; since 2011, Paolo Iotti is in charge of Architectural Design III.

They have lectured at a diversity of schools and institutions and often serves as members of design juries.
