A new school surrounded by greenery, conceived as an educational landscape open to the community.
The new primary school on Viale Torino in Cesenatico was inaugurated on 3 May 2025. From Monday 5 May, 140 pupils in eight classes started using the new spaces.
Set within the green area between Viale Torino and Viale Sassari, the building is conceived as part of the natural landscape. The project interprets the school as a sequence of open, bright and recognisable spaces designed to support learning, interaction and discovery.
At the heart of the complex is the linear square: a continuous, multipurpose space connecting classrooms, ateliers, dining areas and collective functions. The double-height entrance hall, with its stepped seating, reinforces the idea of the school as a place for meeting, reading, play, theatre and shared activities.
Orientation, solar control, bioclimatic greenery and rooftop photovoltaics contribute to the environmental quality of the building. The gymnasium, auditorium and laboratories, accessible outside school hours through separate entrances, open the school to the community as a new civic and cultural landmark.
